AIMS: To create an effective educational model for ethnic tolerance, pride and friendship; to attract and retain children in school through the study of Romany folklore. To utilize children’s free time through culturally rich cognitive and entertaining activities and to create mutual understanding of the history, culture, lifestyle, religion, traditions and customs of the Roma. |

ACTIVITIES: Training of teachers to use interactive techniques and funny games, how to use them while working with children and creating a multiethnic teams.

TARGET GROUP: The project includes students from second to eighth grade divided into two heterogeneous groups from thirteen to fifteen students in each group. The first group includes children from second to fourth grade and the second - from fifth to eighth grade. Indirect participants in the project are all students and teachers from 106th school "Gregory Tsamblak”, parents and the whole community from neighborhood Levski in Podujane area. |

RESULTS: With the implementation of project activities the children`s compulsory attendance will be increased and reasonless absences from school will be reduced to minimum. Also to establish conditions for successful integration of Roma children - by creating self-confidence in their abilities and opportunities. Having favorable environment and individual creative talents, it is easy to form a tolerance and respect for different cultures and values. Through a mutual knowledge and exchange of specific ethnic traditions and cultural products, children can build a sustainable model of behavior - respect for pluralism and diversity in ethnic, religious and cultures. |
